The 2021 Human Rights Watch Film Festival celebrates 25 years with a full digital edition featuring 10 powerful and uplifting new documentaries available to stream across the UK on Barbican Cinema On Demand from March 18-26, 2021.

The Cinema Eye Honors, which each year recognize documentary filmmaking, announced the nominees for its 14th Annual Awards Ceremony, which will be held virtually this year, on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

Forty-one films and series are nominated for this year for the 30th Annual IFP Gotham Awards, considered one of the leading awards for independent film and signaling the kick-off to the film awards season. Best Feature nominations went to The Assistant, First Cow, Never Rarely Sometimes Always, Nomadland, and Relic, becoming the first time all of the best feature nominees are directed by women. In total, eleven competitive awards will be presented to independent features and series.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Ramona S. Diaz (Motherland), A Thousand Cuts is launching in over 40 indoor and virtual cinemas nationally on Friday, August 7th.
