The South Korean horror thriller “Beasts Clawing at Straws” directed by Kim Yong-hoon opens in numerous theaters nationwide on October 21 from Kino Marquee. VOD release follows on December 15.

Chinese filmmaker Zheng Lu Xinyuan won the Tiger Award at the 49th International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) for her film The Cloud in Her Room. In her personal debut film, shot in black-and-white, filmmaker Zheng Lu Xinyuan follows 22-year-old Muzi as she returns to Hangzhou, where she was born, for the New Year’s celebration. However, it’s like she doesn’t really fit in anywhere.

International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) revealed the full film lineup of 2020, including the 10 films selected for the Tiger Competition. Also revealed: the selections of the Big Screen Competition and the revamped Bright Future Competition, the 2020 opening and closing films, the fifth theme program Ordinary Heroes and a special screening of David Cronenberg’s Crash (1996) with a live musical score by the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
