
The Beast took the top prizes at the Florida Film Critics Circle 2024 awards, winning Best Picture in addition to Best Director for Bertrand Bonello and Best Actress for Léa Seydoux.

The Brutalist won big at the 2024 Nevada Film Critics Society awards, winning 7 awards including the top honor of Best Film, along with Best Director for Brady Corbet, Best Actor for Adrian Brody, Best Supporting Actor for Guy Pearce, Best Original Screenplay for Corbet and Mona Fastvold, Best Production Design for Judy Becker and Best Cinematography for Lol Crawley.

Zoe Saldaña, star of the critically acclaimed Emilia Pérez has been named the second recipient of the London Critics’ Circle’s Derek Malcolm Award for Innovation. She is also nominated for Supporting Actress of the Year for her performance in the film. Saldaña will receive the award at the 45th London Critics’ Circle Film Awards on Sunday, 2nd February 2025. Actor and filmmaker Colman Domingo was the inaugural recipient.

RaMell Ross’ Nickel Boys dominated the nominations for the 25th Black Reel Awards with 13, followed closely by Malcolm Washington’ The Piano Lesson with 12 nominations.

Sean Baker’s Anora and Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist lead the nominations for the 45th London Critics’ Circle Film Awards, each with seven nominations.

Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist was awarded Best Picture at the Phoenix Film Critics Society’s 2024 awards, however, while Conclave dominated with five wins including Best Director for Edward Berger, Best Actor for Ralph Fiennes and Best Ensemble Acting.

Sing Sing, Nickel Boys and The Piano Lesson lead the winners of the 16th African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) Awards with multiple awards, including making the coveted Top 10 Films of the Year list.
