    Rooftop Films announced the lineup for the 2022 annual Rooftop Films Summer Series, and in keeping with their annual tradition, the Summer Series will open with a collection of exciting new short films on Friday, May 20th at Green-Wood Cemetery, along with a performance from New York Liberty’s own Timeless Torches, NYC’s favorite over-40 dance group, who are featured in Quitting Time, a short film that will play that evening.

    The Nantucket Film Festival (NFF) announced the programming lineup for the 27th annual edition, which will run from June 22-27, 2022. The festival will open with National Geographic Documentary Film’s Fire of Love, directed by Sara Dosa. The documentary follows Katia and Maurice Krafft, who loved two things — each other and volcanoes. For two decades, the daring French volcanologist couple were seduced by the thrill and danger of this elemental love triangle.

  • San Francisco Intl Film Festival Announces 2022 Lineup + Tribute for Michelle Yeoh

    The 65th annual San Francisco International Film Festival will make its return to theaters in person, featuring more than 130 films from 56 countries, including 16 World and 10 North American premieres. The Festival will also celebrate cinematic icon Michelle Yeoh with a special tribute to be presented by critically acclaimed actor Sandra Oh. The 2022 Festival will run April 21–May 1.

    Roadside Attractions and Vertical Entertainment partnered to acquire Emily the Criminal, the Sundance 2022 critically-acclaimed thriller, with an original screenplay and directorial debut by John Patton Ford, starring and produced by Aubrey Plaza (Black Bear, Ingrid Goes West). Plaza stars opposite Theo Rossi (American Skin, Army of the Dead) as well as Megalyn Echikunwoke (Late Night, Damsels in Distress), and Gina Gershon (Blockers, Bound).
