
Heartland Film announced the lineup of 76 independent feature films showcased in the 29th Heartland International Film Festival (HIFF29) running via hybrid model of drive-in and virtual events, from October 8 to 18.

The feature music documentary Fandango at the Wall, directed by Varda Bar-Kar and Executive produced by Quincy Jones, Andrew Young, and Carlos Santana will premiere on HBO Latino, Friday, September 25. The film follows Multi-GRAMMY Award-winning musician Arturo O’Farrill and Multi-GRAMMY Award-winning producer Kabir Sehgal who journey to Veracruz, Mexico to recruit master musicians for a live album recording at the U.S.-Mexico border wall.

The 44th Atlanta Film Festival + Creative Conference (ATLFF) which was originally scheduled to take place in the spring, but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will now take place from Thursday, September 17 – Sunday, September 27, 2020. The festival shared the lineup of creative works, feature-length and short films selected from a record-breaking 8,500+ submissions for the 2020 event.

Florida Film Festival, which was originally scheduled for April, but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will now take place August 7-20, 2020, in Maitland and Winter Park, Florida. This year’s 29th edition of the festival will screen 177 films representing 37 countries, kicking off with the World Premiere of Surviving Supercon, directed by Steven Shea.
