Brendan Fraser, Danielle Deadwyler, Ke Huy Quan The Woman King was named Best Film of 2022 by the Black Film Critics Circle, besting critics favorite Everything Everywhere All At Once which came in 4th. Other top honors went to Brendan Fraser for Best Actor for The Whale; Danielle Deadwyler for Best Actress for Till and Ke Huy Quan for Best Supporting Actor for Everything Everywhere All At Once.

2022 Sundance Film Festival Announces Feature Films, Indie Episodic, New Frontier Lineups
When You Finish Saving the World The 2022 Sundance Film Festival set to take place January 20–30, 2022, announced the films selected in the Feature Film, Indie Episodic, and New Frontier categories. The full slate of works announced includes 82 feature-length films representing 28 countries, and 39 of 92 (42%) feature film directors are first-time feature filmmakers.

11 Screenwriters Selected for Sundance Institute’s 7th Screenwriters Intensive

Eleven screenwriters have been selected to participate in Sundance Institute’s seventh annual Screenwriters Intensive in Los Angeles, to take place February 28 – March 1, 2019. Part of the Institute’s commitment to introducing the industry to an inclusive pipeline of exciting new storytellers, the Intensive is a two-day workshop for writers or writer/directors from underrepresented communities developing their first fiction feature. Fellows at the Intensive will advance the art and craft of their work under the guidance of experienced filmmakers and in collaboration with Institute’s Feature Film Program.
