Kino Lorber will release the new documentary feature film In Case of Emergency from award-winning director and photographer Carolyn Jones (The American Nurse, Defining Hope) with a live virtual premiere on Wednesday, October 14, followed by a week of free streaming on its Kino Now service ahead of a wider on demand release.
Heartland Film announced the lineup of 76 independent feature films showcased in the 29th Heartland International Film Festival (HIFF29) running via hybrid model of drive-in and virtual events, from October 8 to 18.

Stefanie Sparks breathes satiric perfection into Sarah, with comedic actress Jenni Ruiza starring as her social opposite and unlikely supporter, Melinda. Annapurna Sriram and Andrea Morales round out the cast as Sarah’s perfectly-coiffed best “frenemies.” The film also features appearances by Phoebe Robinson (2 Dope Queens) and Cathy Curtin (Orange is the New Black), as well as other emerging female comedians.
