SXSW Film Festival announced the full program for the 28th edition of the festival which this year will take place online. The festival will open with Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil with Tom Petty, Somewhere You Feel Free as Centerpiece Film and Alone Together, a documentary on popstar Charli XCX, in quarantine will World Premiere as the Closing Night Film.
HBO released a video clip from the documentary In the Same Breath, which recounts the origin and spread of the novel coronavirus from the earliest days of the outbreak in Wuhan to its rampage across the United States. The film will make its world premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
Sundance announced today the independent films selected for Feature Film, Short Film, Indie Series and New Frontier categories for the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival will take place digitally via a feature-rich, Sundance-built online platform and in person on Satellite Screens across the country (public health permitting) from January 28-February 3, 2021.
