Colman Domingo will receive the prestigious Montecito Award at the 40th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival for his “powerhouse performance” in Greg Kwedar’s Sing Sing as Divine G. This announcement follows Domingo’s win at last night’s Gotham Awards, where he took home the honor for Outstanding Lead Performance.
Debuting at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, ‘It’s What’s Inside’ was bought by Netflix in the festival’s biggest acquisition this year. The feature film directorial debut of Greg Jardin is described as a “sci-fi thriller with jokes” by Jardin himself. It follows a group of people celebrating a pre-wedding party that took a darker turn after they decided to play a mind-bending game brought by one of their friends. The film also screened at the 2024 SXSW Festival.
The Premiere of the the Netflix series 3 Body Problem created, executive produced and written by Emmy Award winners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss and Emmy Award nominee Alexander Woo will open the 31st edition of the SXSW Film & TV Festival taking place March 8-16, 2024.
