The Utah Film Critics awarded South Korean director Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite the top honor of Best Picture of 2019. The film was also recognized as Best Non-English Language Film, and for the Original Screenplay by Bong and Jin Won Han.

The San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle announced their 2019 award winners with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood winning award for Best Picture of 2019. Best Foreign Language Film went to Parasite, Best Documentary went to Apollo 11 and Special Citation for Independent Cinema was given to Director Shin’ichiro Ueda’s One Cut of the Dead.

Todd Phillips “Joker,” took Best Picture honors in the Phoenix Film Critic’s Society’s (PFCS) 2019 awards with Bong Joon-ho’s South Korean film “Parasite” winning for Best Foreign Language Film, and “One Child Nation” was honored for Best Documentary.

The Oklahoma Film Critics Circles (OFCC) voted “Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood” as the Best Picture of 2019. Honors for Best Documentary went to “American Factory,” Best Foreign Language Film went to “Parasite” and Best First Feature went to Joe Talbot’s “The Black Man in San Francisco.”

The Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Association voted 1917 as the best film of 2019, according to the results of its 26th annual critics’ poll. The Russell Smith Award for best low-budget or cutting-edge independent film went to The Lighthouse.

Marriage Story won three top prizes at the 2019 Indiana Film Journalists Association (IFJA) awards – including Best Film, Best Actor (Adam Driver), and Best Original Screenplay (Noah Baumbach).

Writer-director Joanna Hogg’s delicate autobiographical drama The Souvenir lead the nominations for the 40th annual London Critics’ Circle Film Awards with 7 nominations, including Film, Screenwriter, Actor (Tom Burke), Supporting Actress (Tilda Swinton) and Young Performer (Honor Swinton Byrne). In addition, the film is nominated for British/Irish Film of the Year.

The Chicago Film Critics Association (CFCA) announced the nominees for their top film honors of 2019. Nominees include Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story and Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite plus Céline Sciamma’s Portrait of a Lady on Fire.

Marriage Story leads the nominations for the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards with 7 nominations including Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Actress for Scarlett Johansson, Best Actor for Adam Driver and Best Supporting Actress for Laura Dern.
