The European Film Academy Board has chosen 30 films to be part of the Academy´s Feature Film Selection 2022 for the European Film Awards. The Feature Film Selection includes films that the Board of the Academy recommends to all Academy members for a nomination for the European Film Awards 2022. In a second part, 10-15 further titles for the Feature Film Selection will be announced in September.
Miami Film Festival presents its 39th annual edition from March 4-13, 2022 in a hybrid format, with both in-theater and virtual presentations. The 2022 Festival will showcase more than 120 feature narratives, documentaries, and short films of all genres, from more than 35 countries worldwide.
The 57th Chicago International Film Festival running October 13 – 24, 2021 announced the new directors and international feature competitions lineup showcasing films from countries around the world, including Colombia, Jordan, France, South Africa, Cambodia, the Faroe Islands, Germany, and more. This year’s competitions will include the World Premiere of Babushkas of Chernobyl director Holly Morris’ documentary Exposure and the International Premiere of Franziska Stünkel’s The Last Execution.
Eleven films will compete for the XV RTVE-Otra Mirada Award at the 69th edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival, running from September 17 to 25. The award is given to feature films on subjects close to the world of women; directed, starring or written by women; or also by men whose films show particular sensitivity towards the world of women.
Fourteen Spanish films have been selected for San Sebastian Festival’s 69th edition with four of them competing for the Golden Shell: Maixabel, by Iciar Bollaín; El buen patrón / The Good Boss by Fernando León de Aranoa; La abuela by Paco Plaza and Quién lo impide, by Jonás Trueba.
