Alcarràs directed by Carla Simón The European Film Academy revealed the nominees of the main categories of the 35th European Film Awards. Films nominated for European Film include Alcarràs directed by Carla Simón, Close directed by Lukas Dhont, Corsage directed by Marie Kreutzer, Holy Spider directed by Ali Abbasi, and Triangle of Sadness directed by Ruben Östlund.

AFI Fest 2022 Announces Film Lineup incl. BONES AND ALL, WOMEN TALKING, NANNY, LE PUPILLE
Le Pupille directed by Alice Rohrwacher AFI Fest Film Festival 2022 today unveiled the full lineup of 125 films including Bones and All directed by Luca Guadagnino, Le Pupille directed by Alice Rohrwacher, Nanny directed by Nikyatu Jusu, SR. directed by Chris Smith, and Women Talking by writer and director Sarah Polley, which will all screen in the Special Screenings section. Of the official selections, 53% are directed by women, 32% are directed by BIPOC filmmakers and 11% are directed by LGBTQIA+ filmmakers.

Patrick and the Whale directed by Mark Fletcher Mark Fletcher’s Patrick and the Whale opens and Kathlyn Horan’s The Return of Tanya Tucker – Featuring Brandi Carlile will close the 31st Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival taking place October 7-15 at the Arlington Hotel & Spa. Ben Klein and Violet Columbus’ The Exiles and Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes will screen as the Centerpiece Selections.

Toronto Film Festival 2022 Announces Docs and Contemporary World Cinema Lineups
The Happiest Man in the World directed by Teona Strugar Mitevska Toronto International Film Festival announced the 2022 selection for TIFF Docs program, Contemporary World Cinema program, and an additional title in the Discovery program. This lineup features titles from over 50 countries from around the world. Additionally, TIFF announced five documentary sessions as part of the 2022 Industry Conference.
