Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes, which follows two brothers who run a bird hospital dedicated to rescuing injured black kites, took the top prize, winning the award for Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Filmmaking as well as the award for Cinematography at the 16th annual edition of the Cinema Eye Honors.
DOC NYC, America’s largest documentary festival returns in-person November 9-17 and continues online through November 27, presenting more than 110 feature-length documentaries among over 200 films and dozens of events.

SFFILM announced the winners of the juried Golden Gate Awards competition at the 65th San Francisco International Film Festival. The top awards went to the Iranian film Hit the Road by Panah Panahi for New Directors Award and Master of Light by Rosa Ruth Boesten won the Documentary Feature Award.
The 65th annual San Francisco International Film Festival will make its return to theaters in person, featuring more than 130 films from 56 countries, including 16 World and 10 North American premieres. The Festival will also celebrate cinematic icon Michelle Yeoh with a special tribute to be presented by critically acclaimed actor Sandra Oh. The 2022 Festival will run April 21–May 1.
