Writers Guild of America announced the winners of the 2023 Writers Guild Awards for outstanding achievement in writing for film, television, new media, news, radio/audio, and promotional categories during concurrent ceremonies.

All Quiet on the Western Front leads the nominations for the 2023 EE BAFTA Film Awards, with 14 nominations including Best Film. The film ties with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2001) as the non-English language film with the most nominations in BAFTA’s history.

Everything Everywhere All at Once leads the nominations for the 2022 Online Film Critics Society (OFCS) awards with a total of 11 nominations including Best Picture. With eleven total nominations, Everything Everywhere All at Once boasts recognition for both craft (Director, Screenplay, Editing and more) and the film’s entire lead ensemble, earning acting nominations for Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Jamie Lee Curtis and Stephanie Hsu.

Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes, which follows two brothers who run a bird hospital dedicated to rescuing injured black kites, took the top prize, winning the award for Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Filmmaking as well as the award for Cinematography at the 16th annual edition of the Cinema Eye Honors.

The Banshees of Inisherin is the top film at the Greater Western New York Film Critics Association’s fifth annual end-of-year Film Awards, receiving 5 wins including Best Picture of 2022, along with Best Director plus Original Screenplay for Martin McDonagh, Lead Actor for Colin Farrell, and Supporting Actress for Kerry Condon.

Everything Everywhere All at Once snagged nine awards along with the honor of Best Narrative Film of 2023 at the North Carolina Film Critics Association eleventh annual awards for achievements in film. The film also won Best Director for the Daniels, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan, Best Supporting Actress for Stephanie Hsu, Best Original Screenplay, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Editing, and Best Production Design. Nine wins is the most for any film in the history of the North Carolina Film Critics Association’s Best of Cinema annual honors.
