
The 53rd Nashville Film Festival (NashFilm) taking place September 29 – October 5 both in-person and virtuall will feature more than 150 titles, including 38 feature-length film.

The Mill Valley Film Festival will honor writer, director Nikyatu Jusu with a Spotlight program including a special onstage conversation, screening of the 2022 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner and first feature Nanny, and the MVFF Award for Feature Debut.

Film at Lincoln Center and The Museum of Modern Art announced the lineup for 51st edition of New Directors/New Films (ND/NF) taking place April 20–May 1, 2022. This year’s festival will introduce 26 features and 11 shorts, a total of 39 directors, 21 of which are women, to filmgoers in theaters at both FLC and MoMA.

The 2022 Sundance Film Festival set to take place January 20–30, 2022, announced the films selected in the Feature Film, Indie Episodic, and New Frontier categories. The full slate of works announced includes 82 feature-length films representing 28 countries, and 39 of 92 (42%) feature film directors are first-time feature filmmakers.
