RaMell Ross’ Nickel Boys has been named the Best Picture of 2024 by the National Society of Film Critics.
Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance took the top spot on the Best Film list of the 23rd Columbus Film Critics Association Awards, along with Best Lead Performance for Demi Moore.
BAFTA unveiled the longlists for all 25 categories including Best Film, Director, Leading Actor, Actress for the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards.
Anora was awarded Best Picture at the 2024 North Texas Film Critics Association Awards along with Best Actress for Mikey Madison.

For the first time in the history of the award, two films – Sean Baker’s Anora and Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance tied for the top prize of Best Film at the Online Association of Female Film Critics end of year 2024 awards.
Anora won an impressive 6 awards including Best Film at the Philadelphia Film Critics Circle 7th year-end awards, along with Best Director for Sean Baker, Best Actress and Best Breakthrough Performance for Mikey Madison and Best Ensemble.
The Beast took the top prizes at the Florida Film Critics Circle 2024 awards, winning Best Picture in addition to Best Director for Bertrand Bonello and Best Actress for Léa Seydoux.
Sing Sing was the big winner at the 2024 Black Film Critics Circle (BFCC) awards, receiving four prizes including Best Film of 2024
RaMell Ross’ Nickel Boys dominated the nominations for the 25th Black Reel Awards with 13, followed closely by Malcolm Washington’ The Piano Lesson with 12 nominations.
Sean Baker’s Anora and Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist lead the nominations for the 45th London Critics’ Circle Film Awards, each with seven nominations.
Anora was named the best film of 2024 by the Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics along with Best Actress for Mikey Madison and Best Director for Sean Baker.
