NOMADLAND Kicks Off 43rd Denver Film Festival Lineup, NINE DAYS as Centerpiece Film

The film will also receive DFF43’s Rare Pearl Award which will be accepted by director, Chloé Zhao, in a video presentation before the film screening. The Rare Pearl Award highlights a film whose beauty and uniqueness stand out as finest of the year. Recent Rare Pearl Award winners include Portrait of a Lady on Fire (DFF42) and Roma (DFF41).

The People’s Choice Award winner is Nomadland directed by Chloé Zhao, People’s Choice Documentary Award winner is Inconvenient Indian directed by Michelle Latimer, and the People’s Choice Midnight Madness Award winner is Shadow in the Cloud directed by Roseanne Liang.

The festival taking place October 16-25, 2020 in Montclair, NJ will screen the Opening, Closing, and Centerpiece Films at the Montclair Film Festival’s Carpool Theater drive-in, with the Virtual Centerpiece screening on Montclair Film’s new Virtual Cinema platform.
