
AFI announced the movies and television shows recipients of the 2020 AFI Awards. Films making the list include Judas and the Black Messiah, Minari, Nomadland, One Night in Miami, and Sound of Metal.

The Music City Film Critics’ Association comprised of more than 30 professional film critics working in or near Nashville, Tennessee announced the winners of the MCFCA 2020 Film Awards. Promising Young Woman was the big winner taking two of the top four awards, including Best Picture.

Amazon Studios released a new official trailer for One Night In Miami… directed by Regina King, set for release in select US theaters on January 8th, 2021 and on Prime Video January 15th, 2021.

The Alliance of Women Film Journalists announced the nominees for the 2020 EDA Awards, with Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland this year’s most nominated film with nine EDA nominations including Best Film, Best Director, Best Woman Director, Best Actress, Grand Dame Award, and Most Daring Performance Award for Frances McDormand.

“Nomadland” took top honors at the 2020 Indiana Film Journalists Association awards, winning four prizes including Best Picture, Best Actress for Frances McDormand and Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Director for Chloé Zhao.

The Chicago Film Critics Association (CFCA) announced the nominees for their top film honors of 2020 with Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland leading the field with seven total nominations. Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods, Kelly Reichardt’s First Cow and Charlie Kaufman’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things each earned six nominations, while Mank and Promising Young Woman are each recognized with five. Chadwick Boseman posthumously earns dual acting nominations for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Da 5 Bloods.

Glenn Close and the ensemble cast of One Night in Miami will receive awards at this year’s SFFILM Awards Night, taking place as a live-streamed showcase on December 9.
