
Gus Van Sant’s Dead Man’s Wire will open the 22nd Marrakech International Film Festival kicking off today November 28th, and running through December 6th, 2025.

The Lebanese film A Sad and Beautiful World directed by Cyril Aris has won the Snow Leopard for Best Film, the top jury prize at the 11th annual Asian World Film Festival.

The Indonesian film Samsara directed by Garin Nugroho topped the nominations for the 18th Asia Pacific Screen Awards with 3 nominations including Best Film and Best Director.

The 11th Asian World Film Festival will open with Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice, and close with Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Voice of Hind Rajab.
Palestine 36, directed by Annemarie Jacir, recounts the story of a Palestinian village revolt against British colonial rule in the thirties. It was chosen as Palestine’s official selection for the Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.

Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will open the 48th annual Denver Film Festival, taking place October 31 – November 9, 2025, with the lineup showcasing 136 feature-length films, documentaries and shorts.

The 50th Toronto International Film Festival taking place September 4–14, 2025, unveiled the lineup of Official Selections in its Gala and Special Presentations program including films from Steven Soderbergh, Guillermo del Toro, Mamoru Hosoda, Zacharias Kunuk, Baz Luhrmann, Kleber Mendonça Filho, Jafar Panahi, Benny Safdie, and Gus Van Sant.
