
The Argentine film Undefined Things (Las cosas indefinidas) by María Aparicio was named Best Latin American Film of the Year at the 15th Annual Cinema Tropical Awards.

The 15th edition of Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival, taking place Monday, November 6 through Saturday, November 11, in Los Angeles will open with Pictures of Ghosts directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho, which is also the official selection to represent Brazil for Best International Feature at the upcoming Oscars®. The Opening Night screening will take place at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

44 films from 21 countries have been confirmed to screen at the 34th AFI Latin American Film Festival, taking place September 21 to October 11 at the historic AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Festival spotlights Latin America’s films and filmmaking during National Hispanic Heritage Month.

Films from Jonathan Glazer, Andrew Haigh, Ryûsuke Hamaguchi, Todd Haynes, Agnieszka Holland, Hong Sangsoo, Raven Jackson, Radu Jude, Yorgos Lanthimos, Michael Mann, Martín Rejtman, Alice Rohrwacher, Justine Triet, Wang Bing, Wim Wenders, and Zhang Lu are among 32 feature films that comprise the Main Slate of the 61st New York Film Festival (NYFF), taking place September 29–October 15 at Lincoln Center.
