
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the feature films eligible for consideration in the Animated Feature Film, Documentary Feature and International Feature Film categories for the 94th Academy Awards®.

The animated documentary Flee from Danish/French filmmaker Jonas Poher Rasmussen lead the nominations for the 15th Cinema Eye Honors awards with seven nominations, including Outstanding Nonfiction Feature and Direction.

Greenwich Entertainment released the official trailer for the award-winning documentary President by director Camilla Nielsson (Democrats) opening in theaters starting Friday, December 17 at Film Forum in New York City. The film won the Sundance Film Festival 2021 Special Jury Award for Cinema Verité Filmmaking, was nominated for the Gotham Award for Best Documentary and is an awards-contender for best documentary feature.

The nominations were announced today for the 31st Annual Gotham Awards, singling out 29 feature films, 16 series, and 32 performances for recognition in twelve award categories.

Montclair Film Festival announced the program lineup for the 10th edition of the festival running October 21-30, 2021, along with Maggie Gyllenhaal’s debut The Lost Daughter. Maggie Gyllenhaal will receive the festival’s Breakthrough Director & Writer Award for her work on the film and join Stephen Colbert in Conversation as part of the festival’s Storyteller Series.
