
The 34th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) will screen 134 films from 64 countries, including 35 of the International Feature Film Oscar® Submissions, from January 5-16, 2023.

Alice Diop’s Saint Omer, the French courtroom drama selected as France’s submission for Best International Feature at the 2023 Academy Awards will be released in the U.S.

Now in its 35th year, the 2022 AFI European Union Film Showcase, taking place December 1–20 at the American Film Institute’s historic theatre in Silver Spring, Maryland highlights 56 films representing all 27 EU member states. Of the Official Selections, 50% are directed or co-directed by women.

Todd Fields’ Tár led the nominations for the 32nd Annual Gotham Awards with five nods including Best Feature, Best Screenplay, Best Lead Performance for Cate Blanchett and two in Best Supporting Performance for Nina Hoss and Noémie Merlant.

Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery opens the line-up for the 9th annual Miami Film Festival GEMS taking place November 3-10. GEMS 2022 festival will feature two Centerpiece Screenings of the ensemble drama Women Talking and Brendan Fraser drama The Whale, and close with Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans.

Indie Memphis Film Festival added more films to its 2022 slate including this year’s Centerpiece Presentation, Elegance Bratton’s The Inspection, fresh from its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The film stars Jeremy Pope in a breakout performance as a gay black Marine who has been cast out by his mother (Gabrielle Union). This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Indie Memphis Film Festival, and will run from October 19th through 24th.

Laura Poitras’ All the Beauty and the Bloodshed won the Golden Lion for Best Film at the 79th Venice Film Festival. The documentary chronicles the photographer and activist Nan Goldin and her crusade to hold Purdue Pharma, owned by the Sackler family, accountable for the opioid epidemic.

From a thrilling and uncompromising Argentinian political drama to a chilling British folk horror tale; and a breathtaking story of brotherly love to the poignancy of family displacement during the Syrian conflict in Damascus, 8 films have been selected for the Official Competition for the Best Film Award at the 66th BFI London Film Festival

New York Film Festival (NYFF) announced the 32 films that comprise the Main Slate of the 60th edition of the festival taking place September 30–October 16, 2022.
