Sony Pictures Classics has acquired Shayda, Noora Niasari’s feature film debut, executive produced by Academy Award® winner Cate Blanchett’s Dirty Films, and winner of the Audience Award in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
Sundance Film Festival awarded the 2023 Grand Jury Prizes to A Thousand and One for U.S. Dramatic, Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project for U.S. Documentary, Scrapper for World Cinema Dramatic, and The Eternal Memory for World Cinema Documentary. The NEXT Innovator Award was awarded to KOKOMO CITY.
