IFC Midnight released the official trailer for She Will, the award-winning psychological horror film directed by Charlotte Colbert, making her directorial debut. The movie screened at notable film festivals around the world including the London Film Festival, Fantastic Fest, Sitges, and Thessaloniki; and won the Golden Leopard for Best First Film at Locarno Film Festival.
The Overlook Film Festival 2022 will open with the North American premiere of Ana Lily Amirpour’s Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon, which features a stellar cast including Jeon Jong-soo, Kate Hudson and Craig Robinson. Shot in New Orleans, this fantastical boundary pushing tale marks the third feature from acclaimed director Amirpour.
IFC Midnight and Shudder acquired She Will, the BIFA nominated psychological horror directed by artist and filmmaker Charlotte Colbert. The film stars Alice Krige (Thor, Gretel & Hansel, Sleepwalkers), Kota Eberhardt (Dark Phoenix), BAFTA® Award winner Rupert Everett (My Best Friend’s Wedding, An Ideal Husband), Amy Manson (Spencer), Jonathan Aris (The Death of Stalin, All The Money in the World) and Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange).
The 2021 Palme D’Or winner Titane directed by Julia Ducournau headlines the first wave of films for 2021 Fantastic Fest. Described as “a poignant study on loneliness, isolation and gender identity wrapped in a constantly surprising world of body horror, muscle cars, violence, and disco-dancing firemen,” Titane opens in US cinemas on October 1.
The 2021 Locarno Film Festival will premiere the psychological thriller She Will, a powerful debut by Franco-British director Charlotte Colbert, along with the World Premiere of Sto minut iz zhizni Ivana Denisovicha (100 Minutes) by Russian director Gleb Panfilov, who already won a Golden Leopard in 1969.
