New York Jewish Film Festival 2022 Announces Lineup. Opens with NY Premiere of ‘Neighbours’
Neighbours directed by Mano Khalil The Jewish Museum and Film at Lincoln Center will present the 31st annual New York Jewish Film Festival (NYJFF) in person and virtually from January 12 through 25, 2022. The NYJFF lineup showcases 33 wide-ranging and exciting features and shorts (24 features and nine shorts), including the latest works by dynamic voices in international cinema, as well as the world premiere of a new 4K restoration of the 1984 film Kaddish by Steve Brand.

A Cop Movie directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios The 2021 AFI Latin American Film Festival set for September 23 – October 13 at the historic AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring, MD will open with Mexican director Alonso Ruizpalacios’ (Güeros, Museo) Berlin-debuted A Cop Movie, an immersive, on-the-job and behind-the-scenes look at the life of two Mexico City cops, which confirms Ruizpalacios’ genius for creating unexpected, genre-bending cinema and won the Berlinale’s Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution earlier this year.

20th Ashland Independent Film Festival Releases Full Lineup of 100 Indie Films
Fanny: The Right to Rock The Ashland Independent Film Festival released the complete schedule for its 20th annual festival presented this year as a “double feature”– online, with most films available coast-to-coast from April 15-29, and live and outdoors in Ashland and Medford from June 24-28. AIFF’s 2021 festival will present approximately 100 new independent films, including 35 feature films and a dozen shorts programs, accompanied by Q&A’s with filmmakers, virtual parties, mixers, and panels.
