There Is No Evil, directed by Mohammad Rasoulof The 47th Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) announced the winners of the 2021 Golden Space Needle and Audience Awards. There Is No Evil won the Golden Space Needle Audience Award – Best Film and Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America won the Golden Space Needle Audience Award – Best Documentary.

2021 San Francisco International Film Festival Announces Lineup, Opens with ‘Naked Singularity’
Naked Singularity directed by Chase Palmer (Courtesy of SFFILM) San Francisco International Film Festival unveiled the 103 films for the 2021 Festival set to take place online and in-person events, with digital screenings being hosted through the SFFILM website and live screenings and performances at the Fort Mason Flix drive-in theater. The 2021 Festival will run April 9–18.

Son of Monarchs directed by Alexis Gambis has been awarded the 2021 Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival along with the $20,000 cash award from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. The Prize is selected by a jury of film and science professionals and presented to an outstanding feature film focusing on science or technology as a theme, or depicting a scientist, engineer or mathematician as a major character, and will be recognized at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival closing Awards Night.

Sundance announced today the independent films selected for Feature Film, Short Film, Indie Series and New Frontier categories for the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival will take place digitally via a feature-rich, Sundance-built online platform and in person on Satellite Screens across the country (public health permitting) from January 28-February 3, 2021.
