Nevada Film Critics Society announced its 2020 award winners with top honors for Best Film going to the revenge thriller Promising Young Woman.
The Vancouver Film Critics Circle announced its international nominations, with Nomadland and Promising Young Woman each receiving three nominations.
Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland won the award for Motion Picture, Drama at the 25th Satellite™ Awards in Motion Pictures and Television.
Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland is the big winner with the Seattle Film Critics Society, landing five awards including Best Picture of the Year.
Regina King was recognized for Best Achievement in Directing for One Night in Miami…, and Leslie Odom, Jr. won Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, Male for his performance in the film.
Lee Isaac Chung’s Minari, Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland and Kelly Reichardt’s First Cow lead the nominations for 2020 Seattle Film Critics Awards.
“Mank,” leads the film nominations for the 26th Critics Choice Awards with 12 nominations, followed by “Minari” with 10 nominations.
Nomadland was named Best Picture at the 2020 Toronto Film Critics awards, Best International Film went to Bacurau, and Collective, won for Best Documentary.
