SXSW 2023 Award Winners – RAGING GRACE and ANGEL APPLICANT Win Grand Jury Prizes
Raging Grace directed by Paris Zarcilla Raging Grace directed by Paris Zarcilla is the winner of the Grand Jury Award in the Narrative Feature Competition at the 30th SXSW Film & TV Festival. The jury commented, “The story of a Filipina house cleaner and her young daughter confronting Britain’s racial and class divides, Raging Grace is both frank and elusive, a film that subverts expectations on its way to a stirring conclusion.”

SXSW 2023 Reveals 2nd Wave of Films, World Premiere of Bottoms, Tetris
Tetris directed by Jon S. Baird (Courtesy of Apple) South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals announced the second wave of the 2023 Film & TV Festival Lineup, including all Visions, Global, 24 Beats, and Festival Favorites plus numerous additions to Headliners, TV Premieres, Narrative and Documentary Spotlight, and other sections. The Festival also announced that Janine Nabers and Donald Glover’s Swarm and Lee Sung Jin’s Beef will be the Opening and Closing Night TV premieres.

Michael J. Fox. (Apple) Apple announced a new untitled feature film about the life of beloved actor and advocate Michael J. Fox (“Back to the Future” franchise, “Spin City,” “Family Ties,” “Casualties of War,” “American President”), from Oscar-winning filmmaker Davis Guggenheim (“An Inconvenient Truth,” “Waiting for Superman,” “He Named Me Malala”). The film is currently in production in New York, Los Angeles and Vancouver.
