
Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival (MSPIFF) announced the complete line-up of 180+ films in the upcoming 40th edition running Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 23 as a hybrid festival.

Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson’s debut film Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised), winner of both the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at Sundance Film Festival will be released in theaters and streaming on Hulu in the U.S. on July 2, 2021.

True/False Film Fest announced its 2021 slate of 16 new feature films and 23 new short films for the upcoming festival unfolding from May 5-9, 2021, in Columbia, and simultaneously at home via “Teleported True/False.”

Questlove’s “Summer Of Soul (…Or, When The Revolution Could Not Be Televised),” winner of the Sundance Documentary Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award, has landed with Searchlight Pictures and Disney General Entertainment’s BIPOC Creator initiative, led by Tara Duncan for theatrical release as well as exclusively streaming on Hulu in the U.S. and internationally on Star and Star+.

At the 2021 Sundance Film Festival’s Awards Ceremony tonight, hosted by actor and comedian Patton Oswalt, jurors presented 24 prizes for feature filmmaking and seven for Short Films.
