I’m Still Here directed by Walter Salles (courtesy of Sony Pictures Classics) The Brazilian Oscar entry I’m Still Here won the FIPRESCI Prize for Best International Feature Film at the 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF). Directed by Walter Salles, the film stars Fernanda Torres and Fernanda Montenegro as Eunice Paiva, a mother of five children coping with the forced disappearance of her husband, the dissident politician Rubens Paiva, during the military dictatorship in Brazil in the 1970s.

21 More Films Make European Film Awards’ Feature Film Selection 2023 Shortlist
Tatami The European Film Academy added 21 more films to the shortlist for the European Film Awards’ Feature Film Selection 2023, now comprising 40 European feature films. This year’s feature film selection includes an increased number of female filmmakers with 18 female directors out of all 43 directors of the 40 selected films.
