BAFTA unveiled the longlists for all 25 categories including Best Film, Director, Documentary, Film Not in the English Language, the performance categories, and a new Children’s & Family Film category, continuing through to Round Two of voting for the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the shortlists in 10 categories for the 97th Academy Awards®: Documentary Feature Film, Documentary Short Film, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, Sound and Visual Effects.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has revealed the feature films eligible for consideration in the Animated Feature Film, Documentary Feature Film and International Feature Film categories for the 97th Academy Awards.
Produced by Oscar-winning documentarian Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side) and helmed by three-time Emmy-nominated South African filmmaker Alexis Bloom, The Bibi Files is a documentary investigation of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Featuring hours of interrogation and leaked footage, the documentary exposes Netanyahu’s and his inner circle’s corruption and their unwillingness to give up power.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Woodstock Film Festival will kick off on opening night with Men of War by Billy Corben and Jen Gatien, Blitz directed by Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen will screen as centerpiece film, and A Real Pain directed by Jesse Eisenberg as closing night film.
