The Substance won 6 awards at the Kansas City Film Critics Circle including Best Film, Best Science Fiction/fantasy/horror, Best Director for Coralie Fargeat, Best Actress for Demi Moore in a tie with Mikey Madison – Anora, and Best Supporting Actress for Margaret Qualley.
