    The 2021 AFI Latin American Film Festival set for September 23 – October 13 at the historic AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring, MD will open with Mexican director Alonso Ruizpalacios’ (Güeros, Museo) Berlin-debuted A Cop Movie, an immersive, on-the-job and behind-the-scenes look at the life of two Mexico City cops, which confirms Ruizpalacios’ genius for creating unexpected, genre-bending cinema and won the Berlinale’s Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution earlier this year.

    The Independent Film Festival Boston (IFFBoston) announced the full lineup of films that will screen at the 2021 festival set to take place virtually online from May 6th – May 16, 2021. “Summer of Soul” directed by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson will open the festival on Thursday May 6th and “How It Ends” directed by Zoe Lister-Jones and Darryl Wein will close the festival on Sunday, May 16th.

    Sundance announced today the independent films selected for Feature Film, Short Film, Indie Series and New Frontier categories for the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival will take place digitally via a feature-rich, Sundance-built online platform and in person on Satellite Screens across the country (public health permitting) from January 28-February 3, 2021.
