“I Used to Go Here” directed by Kris Rey The 2020 Milwaukee Film Festival runs all-virtual from October 15 – 29, featuring 197 film titles. Opening the festival is “I Used to Go Here” directed by Kris Rey, featuring Gillian Jacobs and Jemaine Clement, a heartfelt crowd-pleaser about a 30-something writer who should be celebrating her success, but with all of her friends getting married and having kids, she feels like she’s missing out.

Alice Gu’s THE DONUT KING will Kick Off Naples International Film Festival 2020 Lineup
THE DONUT KING Artis – Naples announced the complete program lineup for the 12th Annual Naples International Film Festival (NIFF) to be held October 22-25, 2020 featuring both virtual and in-person events. NIFF’s in-person screenings will include two documentaries, opening on October 22 with Alice Gu’s award-winning documentary The Donut King, and closing on October 25 with Aurélia Rouvier and Seamus Haley’s festival favorite Banksy Most Wanted. Both screenings will be outdoors on a large screen in the Norris Garden on the Artis – Naples Kimberly K. Querrey and Louis A. Simpson Cultural Campus.

The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain is based on the true story of the events that led to the death of Kenneth Chamberlain Sr., an elderly African American veteran suffering from bipolar disorder, who was killed during a conflict with police officers who were dispatched to check on him.

David Oyelowo’s THE WATERMAN to Open Virtual Urbanworld Film Festival 2020
David Oyelowo’s “The Water Man” David Oyelowo’s feature directorial debut, The Water Man, will open the 24th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Oyelowo also stars in the fantasy-adventure film that follows a boy who sets out on a quest to save his ill mother by searching for a mythic figure said to have magical healing powers.

2020 Martha’s Vineyard International Film Festival Announces Lineup. Opens with DONUT Documentary
THE DONUT KING This year’s 15th edition of Martha’s Vineyard International Film Festival will run September 8-13th, 2020. Due to COVID, the festival will be a hybrid affair, with socially distanced seating (of 25 or less) at the Film Center’s screenings, virtual interviews, and all festival films available online for viewing.

BANKSY MOST WANTED Sidewalk Film Festival announced the complete film lineup of official selections for the 22nd edition of the Birmingham-based film festival which will take place August 24-30.
