Marriage Story leads the nominations for the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards with 7 nominations including Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Actress for Scarlett Johansson, Best Actor for Adam Driver and Best Supporting Actress for Laura Dern.

The American Film Institute (AFI) announced the recipients of AFI AWARDS 2019 – 10 outstanding films and 10 outstanding TV programs deemed culturally and artistically representative of this year’s most significant achievements in the art of the moving image.

Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story was the big winner at the 29th Annual IFP Gotham Awards winning Best Feature, Audience Award, Best Screenplay, and Best Actor for Adam Driver.

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon in Hollywood tops the nominations list for the 3rd Annual Hollywood Critic Awards (previously known as The Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society) with a total of eleven nominations, while Netflix’s The Irishman and A24’s Waves each earn nine. Lulu Wang’s The Farewell, which premiered at Sundance back in January, scored a total of seven nominations. Todd Phillips’ controversial Joker received quite a bit of love from the members of the HCA with a total of seven nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix. Noah Baumbach’s widely praised Marriage Story received six nominations, including Best Actor for Adam Driver and Best Actress for Scarlett Johansson.

AARP The Magazine today announced the nominees for the upcoming 19th Annual Movies for Grownups Awards, with A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Bombshell, Little Women, Marriage Story, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Farewell, The Irishman, and The Two Popes contending for Best Picture/Best Movie for Grownups category.

SFFILM announced some of the film luminaries receiving honors at the 2019 SFFILM Awards Night. The honorees receiving prestigious awards for film include Chinonye Chukwu (Clemency, NEON) will receive the inaugural SFFILM Special Award for Breakthrough Directing, Marielle Heller (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Sony Pictures Entertainment) will receive the Irving M. Levin Award for Film Direction, and Lulu Wang ;(The Farewell, A24) will receive the Kanbar Award for Storytelling.

The 8th Annual Key West Film Festival announced its official 2019 lineup including major fall films from Noah Baumbach and Destin Daniel Cretton. More than 115 films and V/R pieces will be shown during the 5-day festival, which runs November 20-24. Nearly half of the feature films at the festival will be Florida festival premieres.
