DANIEL ISN’T REAL was awarded best picture and best director at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival which closed out the fourth edition on October 24th with a sold-out screening of Joe Begos’ VFW.

The Brazilian mystery-thriller THE FATHER’S SHADOW (A SOMBRA DO PAI) by Gabriela Amaral Almeida will open the 32nd edition of exground filmfest in Wiesbaden, Germany. The festival will be hosting the German premiere of the film, which also serves as the kick-off for this year’s Country Focus on Brazil.

The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival returns to Brooklyn from October 17th to 24th, opening with the North American Premiere of the spellbinding THE BEACH HOUSE, Adam Egypt Mortimer’s Brooklyn-shot DANIEL ISN’T REAL hits NYC as Centerpiece film, and a trio of bold emerging South American visions in Fear in Focus: Brazil sidebar.

The Fantasia International Film Festival unleashed the final wave of films and programming for the 2019 edition of the festival revealing a full lineup featuring over 130 incredible features from across the globe. Of note, the festival will host the World Premieres of MYSTERY OF THE NIGHT, BLOOD ON HER NAME, STARE, 1BR, THE DEEPER YOU DIG, and HOMEWRECKER; the North American Premieres of VIVARIUM, DREADOUT, and LES PARTICULES; the Canadian Premieres of THE LODGE, PROMARE, ANOTHER CHILD, and SWALLOW; and Special Advance Screenings of READY OR NOT and A GOOD WOMAN IS HARD TO FIND.
