Minari dominated the Austin Film Critics Association’s 2020 awards, winning 6 prizes including Best Film, Best Foreign-Language Film, Best Director for Lee Isaac Chung, and Best Ensemble. Youn Yuh-jung won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film.

Minari was a hit with the Phoenix Critics Circle (PCC) earning the honor of best picture of 2020, along with best foreign language film and best supporting actress for Youn Yuh-jung.

“Nomadland” won the most awards at the third annual Latino Entertainment Film Awards presented by the Latino Entertainment Journalists Association (LEJA) , with four including best picture, director, cinematography and editing. Chloé Zhao won three individual awards for producing, directing and editing the film.

Lee Isaac Chung’s autobiographical drama Minari took the top honor of Best Picture for the Utah Film Critics Association 2020 awards.

Lee Isaac Chung’s Minari leads the nominations for the 2020 Seattle Film Critics Society Awards, honoring the year’s best in film with 8 nominations including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Steven Yeun), Best Supporting Actress (Yuh-jung Youn), Best Ensemble Cast, Best Original Score, and Best Youth Performance (Alan Kim). The Korean-American film also scored a Best Film Not in the English Language nomination.

Emerald Fennell’s Promising Young Woman topped the list of nominees for the 4th Annual Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards with a total of nine nominations. The film, which received rave reviews after its premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, was nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Female Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best First Feature, Best Cast Ensemble, Best Hair & Makeup, and Best Film Editing.

The St. Louis Film Critics Association crowned Nomadland the Best Film of 2020, along with honors of Best Director plus Best Editing for Chloé Zhao, and Best Cinematography for Joshua James Richards . Best Foreign Language Feature went to Another Round and Best Documentary Feature went to Collective.

The San Diego Film Critics Society announced the 2020 winners of their annual awards, naming Promising Young Woman as Best Picture along with Best Actress honors for Carey Mulligan for her performance in the films.

The North Carolina Film Critics Association announced its nominations for its ninth annual awards for achievements in film. Minari and Nomadland received 6 nominations including Best Narrative Film. Winners will be announced on January 4, 2021.
