The Banshees of Inisherin lead the nominations for the 80th Golden Globe Awards with eight nominations including Best Picture Drama, Best Director along with Screenplay, Motion Picture for Martin McDonagh, Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy for Colin Farrell, Actor in a Supporting Role in Film for Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan; and Actress in a Supporting Role in Film for Kerry Condon.

Of the official selections, 53% are directed by women, 32% are directed by BIPOC filmmakers and 11% are directed by LGBTQIA+ filmmakers.
