Afternoons of Solitude (Tardes de soledad) directed by Albert Serra is the winner of the Golden Shell for Best Film at the 72nd San Sebastian Festival. The Silver Shell for Best Director was a tie, shared between Laura Carreira for On Falling and Pedro Martín Calero for The Wailing (El llanto).
The 68th BFI London Film Festival (LFF), taking place over twelve days from October 9 – 20, 2024, announced the full program line-up of Galas, Special Presentations and Official Competition titles.
Films from directors Angelina Jolie, Jacques Audiard, Edward Berger, Gia Coppola, Mike Leigh, Morgan Neville, Walter Salles, Athina Rachel Tsangari, and Jia Zhang-Ke to name a few are among this year’s lineup of 63 films in the Gala and Special Presentations programs at the 49th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival.
