The World to Come by Norwegian filmmaker and actress Mona Fastvold opens the 50th edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) on Wednesday June 2. The European premiere of Japanese animation Poupelle of Chimney Town by director Hirota Yusuke closes the festival on Sunday June 6.
Bleecker Street released the trailer for The World to Come, set to world premiere in the Spotlight Program of the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. The film directed by Mona Fastvold; and starring Katherine Waterston, Vanessa Kirby, Christopher Abbott, along with Casey Affleck will open in theaters on February 12 and on digital Tuesday, March 2.
Sundance announced today the independent films selected for Feature Film, Short Film, Indie Series and New Frontier categories for the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. The Festival will take place digitally via a feature-rich, Sundance-built online platform and in person on Satellite Screens across the country (public health permitting) from January 28-February 3, 2021.
Venice International Film Festival announced the lineup for the 77th edition taking place from September 2 – 12, 2020. The festival will open with the Italian film Lacci, directed by Daniele Luchetti (La nostra vita, Mio fratello è figlio unico, Il portaborse).
