Virginia Film Festival is back in-person in its 34th year with a vibrant and diverse program of more than 85 films, including 60 features, and an outstanding lineup of special guests and discussions. The 2021 VAFF will feature theatrical presentations as well as reprise last year’s popular drive-in series at the picturesque Morven Farm in eastern Albemarle County.
Montclair Film Festival announced the program lineup for the 10th edition of the festival running October 21-30, 2021, along with Maggie Gyllenhaal’s debut The Lost Daughter. Maggie Gyllenhaal will receive the festival’s Breakthrough Director & Writer Award for her work on the film and join Stephen Colbert in Conversation as part of the festival’s Storyteller Series.

The 57th Chicago International Film Festival running October 13 – 24, 2021 announced the new directors and international feature competitions lineup showcasing films from countries around the world, including Colombia, Jordan, France, South Africa, Cambodia, the Faroe Islands, Germany, and more. NEON released the official teaser trailer for The Worst Person in The World, the Norwegian dark comedy-drama film directed by Joachim Trier. The film, the finale in Joachim Trier’s Oslo Trilogy, after Reprise and Oslo, 31 August, stars Renate Reinsve as a 30-year-old woman in the midst of an existential crisis as she navigates between career and romantic choices.
