
Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival (MSPIFF) announced the complete line-up of 180+ films in the upcoming 40th edition running Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 23 as a hybrid festival.

The 47th Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) announced the winners of the 2021 Golden Space Needle and Audience Awards. There Is No Evil won the Golden Space Needle Audience Award – Best Film and Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America won the Golden Space Needle Audience Award – Best Documentary.

2021 San Francisco International Film Festival announced the winners of the juried Golden Gate Award (GGA) competitions and the Audience Awards with the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature going to Chase Palmer for the film Naked Singularity. The Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature was a tie between director Roberto Salinas for the film Cuban Dancer and director Jeremy Workman for Lily Topples the World.

The Museum of Modern Art and Film at Lincoln Center announced the 50th anniversary edition of New Directors/New Films (ND/NF), available April 28 – May 8 via virtual cinema, with in-person screenings extending through May 13 at FLC. This year’s festival will introduce 27 features and 11 shorts to audiences nationwide in the MoMA and FLC virtual cinemas, and to New Yorkers at Film at Lincoln Center.

San Francisco International Film Festival unveiled the 103 films for the 2021 Festival set to take place online and in-person events, with digital screenings being hosted through the SFFILM website and live screenings and performances at the Fort Mason Flix drive-in theater. The 2021 Festival will run April 9–18.
