‘Better Man’ and ‘The Penguin Lessons’ Bookend 36th Palm Springs International Film Festival Lineup
The Penguin Lessons directed by Peter Cattaneo Better Man directed by Michael Gracey will open the 36th Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) taking place from January 2-13, 2025. The film is based on the true story of the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and remarkable resurgence of British pop superstar Robbie Williams.

‘Armand’ and ‘Viktor’ Take Top Prizes at 32nd Hamptons International Film Festival
Armand (Cannes Film Festival) Armand directed by Halfdan Ullman Tøndel won the Award for Best Narrative Feature at the 32nd Hamptons International Film Festival. Viktor, directed by Olivier Sarbil, received the Award for Best Documentary Feature.

Men of War by Jen Gatien and Billy Corben (Neon) Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Woodstock Film Festival will kick off on opening night with Men of War by Billy Corben and Jen Gatien, Blitz directed by Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen will screen as centerpiece film, and A Real Pain directed by Jesse Eisenberg as closing night film.

Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point directed by Tyler Taormina This year’s 38th AFI FEST taking place in Los Angeles from October 23 to October 27 rounds out the slate of already announced titles with a full lineup of 158 films including September 5 directed by Tim Fehlbaum, All We Imagine As Light directed by Payal Kapadia, The Luckiest Man In America directed by Samir Oliveros (AFI Class of 2019), Zurawski V Texas from executive producers Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton and Jennifer Lawrence and directors Maisie Crow and Abbie Perrault, and Oh, Canada directed by Paul Schrader (AFI Class of 1969).
