At the 36th GLAAD Media Awards held last night, Will & Harper walked away the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Documentary. The documentary film directed by Josh Greenbaum, follows friends actor Will Ferrell and writer Harper Steele as they take a road trip following Steele’s recent gender transition.

The 39th edition of BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival taking place March 19 – 30, 2025, unveiled its full program. BFI Flare is divided into three thematic program strands: Hearts, Bodies and Minds and presents 34 World Premieres (across features and shorts) with 56 features, 1 series and 81 shorts from 41 countries.

Love Lies Bleeding, Problemista, and Queer lead the films nominated for the 36th GLAAD Media Awards, each receiving 3 nominations including Outstanding Film.

Dune: Part Two led the the nominations for the 2024 Online Film Critics Society Awards in 9 categories including Best Picture, and Best Directing for Denis Villeneuve. The Brutalist followed closely with 8 nominations including Best Picture, Best Directing for Brady Corbet, and Best Actor for Adrien Brody.

Jane Schoenbrun’s I saw the TV Glow leads the nominations for the 16th Dorian Film Awards, with nine nods, including Film of the Year, LGBTQ Film of the Year, Screenplay of the Year, and LGBTQ Screenplay of the Year. Schoenbrun also received a nomination in the Director of the Year category.

Sean Baker’s Anora topped the 2024 Houston Film Critics Society Awards, winning 3 honors including Best Picture, Best Actress in a Leading Role for Mikey Madison, and Best Screenplay.

Conclave leads the nominations for the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards with 12 nominations including Best Film and Outstanding British Film. Emilia Pérez followed with 11 nominations, and The Brutalist with 9 nominations, both also competing for Best Film.

The documentary No Other Land made by a collective of Palestinian and Israeli filmmakers won three awards, including the top prize for Outstanding Nonfiction Filmmaking at Cinema Eye Honors 2025 Awards.
