Sarah Polley’s Women Talking took home the coveted Best Feature Film prize at the 2022 Twin Cities Film Fest. A big-screen adaptation of the Miriam Toews novel, about a group of eight women in an isolated religious community struggling to reconcile with their faith after a series of sexual assaults, Women Talking stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Judith Ivey, Ben Whishaw, and Frances McDormand in critically acclaimed roles. McDormand also served as producer on the film.
The 11th Annual Key West Film Festival announced its official 2022 lineup of more than 75 films including major fall films from Rian Johnson, Sarah Polley, Noah Baumbach, Ethan Coen, Hirokazu Kore-ada, Luka Dhont, Ondi Timoner and Billy Corben. The 5-day festival runs November 16th-20th, 2022.

Hidden Letters from director Violet Du Feng and co-director Qing Zhao won the $20,000 Documentary Feature Grand Prize at the 31st Heartland International Film Festival (HIFF), with the other top prizes going to Our Father, the Devil from director Ellie Foumbi for the $20,000 Narrative Feature Grand Prize, and Wildcat from directors Melissa Lesh and Trevor Frost took the $5,000 Jimmy Stewart Legacy Award.

AFI Fest Film Festival 2022 today unveiled the full lineup of 125 films including Bones and All directed by Luca Guadagnino, Le Pupille directed by Alice Rohrwacher, Nanny directed by Nikyatu Jusu, SR. directed by Chris Smith, and Women Talking by writer and director Sarah Polley, which will all screen in the Special Screenings section. Of the official selections, 53% are directed by women, 32% are directed by BIPOC filmmakers and 11% are directed by LGBTQIA+ filmmakers.
