The New York premiere of Moussa Sène Absa’s Xalé will kickoff of the 30th New York African Film Festival (NYAFF) at Film at Lincoln Center (FLC) from May 10 to 16, 2023. Under the banner, Freeforms, the festival presents over 30 films from more than 15 countries.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the feature films eligible for consideration in the Animated Feature Film, Documentary Feature Film and International Feature Film categories for the 95th Academy Awards.
The 66th BFI London Film Festival (LFF) announced the full program line-up of films, series and immersive art works from over 63 countries with 41% of the program made by female and non-binary directors/creators or co-directors/creators and 34% made by ethnically diverse directors/creators.
The 66th BFI London Film Festival will host the world premiere of many new titles in this year’s festival including the dazzling stop-motion animation Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio as well as Creature, a new collaboration between acclaimed choreographer Akram Khan and Oscar-winner, Asif Kapadia, and My Father’s Dragon, family animation from Award-winning Nora Twomey (The Breadwinner) and Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon (Wolfwalkers, The Song of the Sea).
