Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Favourite leads the nominees for the Austin Film Critics Association 2018 film awards with a total of nine nominations including for Best Film. Other nominees for Best Film include Blindspotting, If Beale Street Could Talk, Roma and Suspiria.

Five years later, the girls gather once again and endure a night of far more horror and bloodshed.

Berlin International Film Festival selected three industry professionals for the International Short Film Jury in 2019 to award the Golden and the Silver Bear as well as the Audi Short Film Award. In addition, they will nominate the Berlin Short Film Candidate for the European Film Awards 2019.

The supernatural mystery/thriller Beyond the Night, the directorial debut from writer/director Jason Noto (ADDICTION: A 60’S LOVE STORY) will be released in theaters on January 11, 2019 by Breaking Glass Pictures.

The beautifully filmed mystery thriller and noir feature Naples in Veils (Napoli velata) from writer/director Ferzan Ozpetek (Steam: The Turkish Bath, His Secret Life) has been acquired by Breaking Glass Pictures for a theatrical release in the first half of 2019, followed by a DVD/VOD release.

Sundance Film Festival added five feature films and a Special Event to the 2019 lineup alongside announcing the winner of the 2019 Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize, seven Day One films and the Closing Night Film. The Festival will take place in Park City, Salt Lake City and at Sundance Mountain Resort January 24 to February 4, 2019.
