
The 34th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) will screen 134 films from 64 countries, including 35 of the International Feature Film Oscar® Submissions, from January 5-16, 2023.

Alice Diop’s Saint Omer, the French courtroom drama selected as France’s submission for Best International Feature at the 2023 Academy Awards will be released in the U.S.

The French Institute Alliance Française presents the sixth edition of Animation First, the only U.S. festival dedicated to showcasing the legacy and innovation of French animation. The 2023 festival will run from Friday, January 27 through Sunday, January 29 and will present six feature-length films (including three U.S. and three NY premieres), and six short film programs with over 65 new shorts (including eight U.S. and 12 NY premieres).

Everything Everywhere All At Once directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (The Daniels) was named Best Picture of 2022 by the Atlanta Film Critics Circle. The film also received the honors of Best Director for The Daniels and Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan.

Super revealed the official trailer for The Quiet Girl, Ireland’s official Oscar entry for Best International Feature Film, starring Catherine Clinch as Cáit, a withdrawn nine-year-old girl who blossoms when sent to live with relatives. Austin Butler will he honored with the Breakthrough Performance Award for his performance in Elvis at the Palm Springs International Film Awards. The Film Awards will take place in-person on January 5, 2023 , with the festival running through January 16, 2023.
