Venice Film Festival unleashed a star studded lineup filled with films featuring Jude Law, Jurnee Smollett, Tye Sheridan, Nicole Kidman, Antonio Banderas, Sophie Wilde, and Caleb Landry Jones.

Films in competition for the prestigious Golden Lion include The Room Next Door by Pedro Almodóvar, with Tilda Swinton, Julianne Moore, John Turturro; The Brutalist by Brady Corbet, with Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce, Felicity Jones; Queer by Luca Guadagnino, with Daniel Craig, Jason Schwartzman; Maria by Pablo Larraín, with Angelina Jolie; and Babygirl by Halina Reijn, with Nicole Kidman, Antonio Banderas.

The festival opens with the world premiere of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice by Tim Burton starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, Jenna Ortega, and Willem Dafoe.

The 81st edition of Venice Film Festival takes place from August 28 to September 7, 2024.

Biennale College – Cinema

Four of the feature films which will be screened at the 81st Venice Film Festival have been selected, developed, and produced during the twelfth edition (2023/2024) of Biennale College – Cinema, an advanced training laboratory, launched at the 2012 Venice Film Festival, which is open to filmmakers from all over the world for the production of low-budget films. The three micro-budget feature films have been realized with a production grant of €200.000 each by La Biennale di Venezia. The four films are:
