Sean Baker’s Anora nabbed Best Picture at the 50th Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) Awards, along with Best Lead Performance for Mikey Madison in a tie with Marianne Jean-Baptiste for Hard Truths; and Best Supporting Performance Yura Borisov also in tie with Kieran Culkin for A Real Pain.
Best Documentary/Non-Fiction Film went to No Other Land, Best Film Not in The English Language went to All We Imagine as Light, and Best Animation went to Flow.
Before the voting, John Carpenter received a Career Achievement honor, and a Special Citation went to Adam Hyman, for Decades of Curating, Programming and Administrating the Screenings and Other Events of Los Angeles Filmforum.
